Did you ever notice how maligned all the brilliant post~punk, Teutonic tranz und danz  (see Bowie's Berlin 'trilogy') music made from 1978- 1984 gets lumped wrongly by historians as part of the genuinely mundane and mediocre pop music made in the mid thru late 80s? The 1980's pop scene on the radio produced few songs which will make it on to the classic rock lists, and is thus rightly detested by most psuedo-music fans. Howevz. . .

From the invention of black & death metal scenes, coming from NWOBHM and/or Motorhead's precursor to punk~hardcore 'crossover' bands to Numan's pioneering inclusion of analog synthesis, crunchy Les Pauls w/ danceable grooves in a rock setting (including tribal drums and echo guitars), '78-'84 phase inadvertandly paved the way for many lesser bands to cash in with watered down cliched versions. Just listen to Public Image Limited's 'Flowers of Romance' album – can we imagine any of that as elevator versions?

That is a nightmare thought whether or not you realize the LP's unique genius. Or try the first 3 Celtic Frost albums, which suprisingly (till they covered 'Heroes') for their grim music & artwork were led by a Bowie & Numan fan. Drums & vox were the beginings of music. Thats what drove the post~punk and early dark~metal scenes. A google's worth of sellout immitations in either camp do not lessen these innovations. Underestimate the electric bass guitar? '78~'84 didn't avoid the use of melodic low~end.

XARRIER Instru~FILMZ {soundtrax division u.v. Xarrier Infrastarwerx Rekordingz} provides soundtrax and Infrapoetix for SsD's Cloud sculpture in the Heyri Art Valley, Korea. Have we integrated with a 21st century modality via it's interactive social aspect? In terms of the way CL0UD exhibits a sensitivity not unlike a bioluminescent octopus when lifeforms are within it's H.G. Wellsian proximity? Sputnik era spaceage or 10,000 leagues under the Ionosphere? ? ?

You {and the weather} will decide! CL0UD is simultaneously a komment on the digital age's millisecond adaptivity, and, as in jazz music's improvisation, whilst the so called 'intrawebz' u.v. computers becomes eerily similar to the way we humans interact. XARRIER's own extensive experience ('organic' for us, ironically) with making music out of cold, rough, hyper-strength materials & surfaces such as reinforced concrete or stainless steel now sings a new 0mniversal anthem. . .

Alive our life, the primary element worth striving forth; 'meaning' we ascribe to this sku|ptura| insta||ation & this epoch u.v. early 21st transmutation is what you the viewer bring forth. Referencing subconscious information iceage specialists such as Terrain Instrument pioneered by Leaf Brush? A ze|ebrati0n of the /\lpha & the 0mega ends u.v. infinity? A solstice & equinox u.v. the soul's equator? Silently soar with our CL0UD: it reacts to your kommentary both visual & auditory… who knows, if you listen closely these 3 CL0UD 's might even speak to you! ! !

our practice spaces have always been infrastruktural: parking garages, radar domes, boiler rooms… now to grab the dissonance of the sonar eclipse whilst travelling the stratos, we must make do with what we can do… is this sheer coincidence that the travel axii has an '80's vibe as xarrier leap years double decades into the neu 2012 with reknewed elektrostatik serpentine noise????

  The primary component in human cerebral brain activity can be described in scientific terms in various ways. However, it is clear within the external expression of bespoke mind's ability to communicate these same thoughts to the outside world can be clarified in five letters: w-o-r-d-s. George Orwell in his galvanizing 20th century classic 1984 stated : "Doublethink is basically the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them". Of course this is not far off from an artificially induced schizophrenic state of mind. In the whole politically correct/ anti-politically correct pendulum set in motion by doublethink (in the real world), it is too often the case that a true idea is labeled by either side as PC or non-PC . Either can be a quagmire depending on which side of the given issue one stands. For example the untrue assertion that corporations are people is not worthy of debate, as it is entomologicaly

 false. By defintion, a person is a biologicaly alive primate~species individual, a seperate entity from all other living beings whom is both cogniscient of their own existence and of free will to decide their own thoughts. A corporation does not match this description on any front. It is a financial agreement, legally approved and operated by multiple entitys. It does not exist without the energy of it's members believing in it's continued economic benefit to those involved. As we can see, Corporations are not People. To describe them as such either in conversation or in some official capacity clearly is 'doublethink'.With the express sole intent of benefiting the business in question 1}  to avoid taxation 2} or gain special privilege & exemption from following safety, pollution, or ecological guidelines as mandated proactive to our general well being. Another reason a Corporation may attempt to define itself as a person is 3} to be able to use it's profit resources to endorse political candidates who may later return the favor 4} by continuing to enable such erroneous legislation which defines a business as a human being! Doublethink in effect…just say NO! Maintain a sane brain, don't believe in the hype of word re-definition.

we may be l/\m3, but we're not m|_|+3. the silence is: we're writing new material: serpent's exile | s+/\+k | & sound trax are in the studio… in the meantime, w3 are either travelling the world or travelling the mind.

in cuzco, cerberus was guarding the gate, but instead of being powerful and g()d-Lik3, he has been downtroDDen by human narciciZm and blindne55. In the cold rain, the gate he used to own was now shut to even his own powerz. now on the otherside is only the s3mblance of power and hier/\rachy, fabricated by humans to elevate a few at the expense of the many. i fed cerberus the last 1/2 of my bread: his fangs were now ground down from exhaustion into gentle canines hidden within his black muzzle. we were both starving and soaked so we thanked each other and parted.

Listening to Howlin' Wolf's incredible band w/ Sunnyland Slim/ piano, Willie Dixon/ bass, and Hubert Sumlin/ guitar, it becomes apparent that early Zanzibar/ Silvio's electric blues from the windy city was the seminal crossroads: much discussed, but little understood. No one's soul was sold until much later, and they were the British thieves of our bluez! If proof need be given for Howlin' Wolf's authenticity as the true architect of rock 'n'r0||, check this anecdote. He had not seen his own mother in a decade, and when he saw her she cursed at him for 20 minutes saying he played "the devils music". She spited him further by throwing the $500 bill he gave her on the ground and stomping it in half. Damn right he got the bluez! You'll see, the X~roadz weren't a 'place' where Robert Johnson (King u.v. the Delta/ akoustik bluez) met the devil; the X~roadz were the intersection u.v. jazz (the vox, piano & 2cd/ lead guitarist were expressive & melodically free like jazz) and bluez (rhythm/slide guitar as played by Wolf while singing, the bass & the drums were all tight structured 'backbeat'). The hoodoo voodoo mojo magik xhaman muse which was the zeitgeist zazen Zanzibar lightning? Electricity. . .Let there be rock!

Ecology u.v. the telestarvoid, that which ensigniates all energy, light, and empty space. The playing filed u.v our waking dreams…the silent music of time. A konversation regarding konservation u.v. resources, and the xpiritual recomendation of wildlife preservation. Shall these topix be discussed in lyrix, or do they distract from the music? In the case of the Xarrier Infrastarwerx Recordings, our muse are the guitars themselves; being made of wood, it's makes us radio druids u.v. the Ice Sage. Once removed from the groves of old~growth trees the very boats our anscestors explored on, these very guitars u.v. our dreams are relix from a bygone epoch. When only musicians wrote music and instruments had a pride of build quality even when assembly~line produced. Thus the spectral feedback present when the guitar faces the amp could be said to be the ghosts of the tree's soul; the earth, rain & sunlight that fed it's health. In life they bent with the winds in silent compliance w/ natures des9z, while in an afterlife as musical instruments a vibrational potential as soundmaker is freed into the air & to our ears.The animals who grazed those same forests spirits may also inhabit the guitars & drums of wood who also deserve to referenced in the music… Calling to their defense from /\ vox now singing thru the amplification, microphones & speakers to liberate the animus u.v the animals anscestors from the disrespectful philosophy of many who feel like the natural world is there specificly to serve our needs at any cost. When there are too few fish as a result from decades u.v. overfishing, this type u.v greed becomes it's own self fufilling prophecy of dyfunction! If not for the right xpiritual reasons, then for the practical ones we must not eat all the bluefin tuna if we love to eat sushi. Eat farm raised salmon. Let new guitars be made from carbon fiber, save the trees and let the wood instruments become markers of the golden age of rock music, in the same way a Stradivarious violin defines xlassikal. Serpent's Exile's journey into /\Vortex Isle u.v. forgotten souls, ice~eye's u.v. glaciers melt weeping into a frozen symphony.

WEPT's StarBall Contribution noir~magnetic xassette hath been remastered, after 25 years in all it's rocking firewerx. 10 songs from an era our stage lights were blu, blue & blau. Though music within still is overall not as dark as we would get on it's followup EXIT, /\ sepulchural divination u.v these lost WEPT scro||z now rides a hispeed velocity timespin. All aboard the StarBall Contribution  express! Pre~post-rock from 1987 orbiting timeless infra~genre or tranz~epoch. Allysheeba won the Kentucky Derby that year; hear WEPT's ode to equestrian glory. Headbang to instru~metal live show favorite Odom, or get lost in the desert of Indian's forlorn triumph. The arkitektur/\l ma3str0z at SsD invited xarrierphoniks for their video exhibited at Modern Atlanta.  little did we know that we only had 5 hrs to record/mast3r/time synk this werk. we thought single speed was something like slo food, or some z3n manif3st0 – i gu3ss that is how they r0ll in ark time which is at least 5 tim3 zon3z simult/\neously.

In anycase, this muzik is the first x/\rri3r release in 5 years.  we are brimming at the seams, more to come in the strato-sphere.
